I know you can do it on Outlook, but not sure about web-based email I'm afraid. Perhaps call/email them to see if they can restore them?

I also use Talk Talk but unfortunately if you only access emails by logging into talktalk rather than using an email client such as Outlook, you only have 24 hours in which to remedy any mistake that is made in deleting files by following the process below.

Recover recently deleted TalkTalk email
With the exception of email deleted from your Spam folder, you have 24 hours to recover an email after you delete it. Recovered email will move to the New Email folder in your mailbox.

Note: Email deleted from the Spam folder is immediately erased and is unrecoverable.

To recover recently deleted email:

1. In the TalkTalk Mail window, click the Recently Deleted link.
2. Click the box next to the message you want to recover to place a tick in it.
3. Click the Restore button.

If on the other hand, your emails are downloaded into Outlook or similar then all is not lost, there are numerous file recovery programs around some of which are freeware. In this situation it is possible in many cases to recover files that were deleted months ago. One such recovery program is Recuva a summary of which is below.

Recuva 1.39.509

Salvage & recover deleted files
When we browse the Internet, most of us download our files to our desktop. After a few weeks of doing this, our desktop becomes cluttered with files. To save time sorting through the clutter, often we'll just drag everything to your Recycle Bin and then empty it soon after. Only then we realise that we deleted an important work file that we were temporarily storing on the desktop whilst we were making important changes.
Files sent to the Recycle Bin and then emptied through the Recycle Bin are far from lost. Indeed, if those files were only deleted a few days or even weeks ago, there's a very good chance that they can be recovered in full. Files sent to Recycle Bin aren't really deleted from your system. Windows is told that it can write files to the location where they were stored ' eventually the old file data will be overwritten and recovery will be difficult, but in the short term your files are recoverable.
However, you need recovery software. Recuva is a tool that will enable you recover files that you've accidentally deleted in the past, particularly those that you sent to the Recycle Bin and then later emptied from the bin. You can also use Recuva to attempt to salvage photos deleted from your digital camera memory cards, songs from MP3 players and much more.

Verdict: Effective tool for undeleting or salvaging files we sent for recycling and deleted, in the past

Yeah I was going to see you want to try and get it back straight away, don't leave it!

Also go and get a gmail.com account, nothing else compares.

Unfortunately this won't work in the case of outlook or outlook express as the emails are stored in .pst files or whatever is equivilent in outlook express, and these files are reindexed after each email is removed - so you don't have a separate file per email (thank god).

Not according to the program features:

Recover deleted emails

If you're using a desktop program like Outlook Express, Windows Live Mail, or Mozilla Thunderbird, you know that deleting emails from within the email program sends them to the program's internal trash or Recycle Bin. If you empty the trash or Recycle Bin, that's it -- the email's been deleted and there's no way to get it back.

The email program doesn't delete the email or emails to the Windows Recycle Bin, but rather empties its own internal trash or Recycle Bin. Fortunately, Recuva has the solution to this problem.

Email programs like Outlook Express, Windows Live Mail, or Mozilla Thunderbird don't store emails individually. Rather, they store each folder as a database file. For example, there might be a folder for the Inbox, another for Sent Mail, another for Drafts, one for the Trash and another for emails you've saved.

When you empty the email program's Trash, the email program empties that database file. Instead of restoring the database file, Recuva goes one step further and recovers emails individually.

When you recover emails with Recuva, they appear in a compressed .ZIP file (for example, Outlook Express.zip). You can use any standard ZIP file reader (including one built in to Windows) to open the .ZIP file up and see the emails inside.

Each email is stored in a standard .EML format, which means that you can import it to any email program -- not just the one it was sent or received from.

With Recuva, you never have to worry about losing that important email, even if the email program thinks it's finished with it forever.
