Venue: Portman Road
Kick Off: 15:00
Referee: Darren Deadman

Team News:

Teenage defender Reece Wabara could make his debut for Ipswich on loan from Manchester City. On loan striker Daryl Murphy remains a doubt with a hamstring injury.

Lewis Dunk will miss the game for Brighton having picked up 5 yellow cards so either Steve Cook or Romain Vincelot will step in as a replacement.

Top scorers: Keith Andrews - Ipswich 4, Ashley Barnes - Brighton 7

My prediction? Tight game with 1 goal deciding it either way. Hopefully for the mighty seagulls.

Deadman has given 44 Yellows and 4 reds this season , in 10 games.
He did the 1-1 game V Charlton last year, so Calderon will be pleased!

Head-to-head
• Ipswich lead Brighton by 26 wins to 20 in the head-to-head standings, with 12 of 58 competitive matches finishing all square.
• Ipswich need to score once to total 100 competitive goals against the Seagulls.

I hate to be pessimistic, but I can't see us getting anything from this & feel we may end the day regretting not going after Mr Bullard.
Of course, I hope I am wrong.

I think they may just be too strong for us and predict a 1-0 to them .... glimmer of hope in that I voted for big wins against Leeds and the Pikeys so hoping my run of form continues!

The pragmatist in me says a draw will do but after four games without a win we could really do with bagging all three points. Hoping for a little Gus managerial magic to put a little swagger back into the starting 11.

This is going to be a test of our metal. I suspect it will be a close game if we get our heads right and play the Albion way well. Come on the Albion

My Albion team:

16. Casper Ankergren
14. Iñigo Calderón 20. Romain Vincelot 3. Gordon Greer 22. Marcos Painter
26. Liam Bridcutt 8. Alan Navarro
10. Matthew Sparrow 18. Gary Dicker
12. Craig Mackail-Smith 9. Ashley Barnes

Subs:
1. Peter Brezovan
27. Mauricio Taricco
25. Kazenga LuaLua
7. Will Hoskins
33. George Barker

To my mind we have not really replaced Murray, Bennett and Crofts.

11. Craig Noone (not forgotten, dropped for tactical reasons)

I have not been to Ipswich for over 30 years on a train that visited all the freight yards in west and north London, and on the then lauded Portman Road pitch which was not as good as the Goldstone, possibly because their were dry patches because of the summer hosepipe ban. The Towner v Beattie duel was fascinating. 0-0. It was a good ground back then.

Depends on the team. Par 1-1.
