Venue: The Amex Stadium
Kick Off: 19:45
Referee: Andy D'Urso

Team News:

Will Hoskins may have to make do with a place on the bench for Brighton as a result of Ashley Barnes & Craig Mackail Smith's recent form. Tommy Elphick and Adam El Abd remain absentees for Brighton.

Crystal Palace welcome back defender Nathaniel Clyne. Lee Hills, Owen Garvan and Kagisho Dikgacol remain sidelined.

My prediction??

3 - 1 Albion, CMS, Barnes and Noone with the goals.

I find it funny that based on a poll on cpfc.org, around 50% of fans think they are going to lose. So all those times this season when we've had loads of them giving it large to us, actually they've been bricking it!

Still, it doesn't make me any less nervous about the game!

I still do not know what team Gus Poyet will pick:

16. Casper Ankergren
14. Iñigo Calderón 5. Lewis Dunk 3. Gordon Greer 22. Marcos Painter
26. Liam Bridcutt
??? ???
12. Craig Mackail-Smith 9. Ashley Barnes ???

subs from : 7. Will Hoskins 25. Kazenga LuaLua 17. Ryan Harley 11. Craig Noone 8. Alan Navarro 1. Peter Brezovan 20. Romain Vincelot ???

The faces are unknowns.

With BBBW doing the 'official' number, I feel the portents are good. 3-0 BHA for me, and the game being a wee bit feisty and not finishing with 22 players on the pitch :nono:

I'm currently feeling really sleepy. I hope the walk to the amex wakes me up so I can enjoy the game properly. One of my friends has talked about taking a flask of tea with us tonight.

I have even less idea what team Palace will play:

Palace team?

1. Julian Speroni
38. Peter Ramage
5. Patrick McCarthy
37. Aleksandar Tunchev
21. Dean Moxey
7. Darren Ambrose
15. Mile Jedinak
3. David Wright
16. Wilfried Zaha
17. Glenn Murray
11. Sean Scannell
SUBS
34. Lewis Price (GK)
20. Jonathan Williams
4. Jonathan Parr
19. Jermaine Easter
6. Anthony Gardner

Scannell is right footed ? but I would not be surprised if he starts on the left.

Im expecting Gus to spring a surprise tonight. Could be for example that Hoskins starts as part of a three man forward line as he played regularly last year with Wood/Barnes/Murray. Noone dropping into the hole.

Either that or he will go with the starting line up for the second half v Leeds.

Oh and still very much expecting Murray to pull out at the last minute or not come out for the second half. The man is a lazy coward.

How did I not know D'Urso was the ref?

Confidence draining....

Not bothered about any formation, just hope he doesn't pull off an attacker in the last couple of minutes if we are one up. Three or four times this has backfired, and we certainly don't want to gift Pal*ce an equaliser...

Having not predicted the last three scores due to holiday I can now go back to my wonderful doom and gloom. 1-1.

That is what I was thinking. Barnes, Hoskins, Mackail-Smith. But without Noone.

Who dares put up the Head-to-Head stats ?

Would Gus dare to play the not match-fit Vicente ?

Note; who are out corner takers: Dicker, Noone Buckley, Harley. One of these must play in a home match. Buckley would be my first choice, but he is injured. I think I would include Sparrow in the squad as he is the nearest to a box-to-box midfielder we have got. This is for the 4-3-3.

Can't fault that selection. Tried and tested, apart from Harley, who from what I've seen can stroke it about in midfield. If he has probs, Vicente can come on in the same role. And of course, LL can put the fear of God up them in the last twenty minutes...
