The first time that's been mentioned on this thread!!!
We have that (my family adore Love Island), but I’m fine with working my way through the plethora of series on Amazon, BBC iplayer and Netflix. So much to see, the square-eyes future is mapped out.
I wasn’t actively looking for The Americans, I’d kind of forgotten about it. But got reminded when there were some NSC posts here this week.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, I may have even posted about it myself, I can't remember...
But, The Disappeared I thoroughly enjoyed. 3 Seasons and I watched them all in a pretty short space of time without ever getting bored.
Definately one of the more enjoyable things I've watched.
I might as well also list some others of my favorites in recent years (apologies, as I may be duplicating previous posts by me or others).

It's all on Netflix. When in doubt, and all that...!
As said in #1295 I've watched the first episode.
It's certainly not for the kids!
It has more than a touch of an idealised American version of good old blighty, warts 'n all.
That said there's a scene towards the end in Alfred's parents front room that was fantastically funny.
That alone is enough to have me going back for more.

A bit of historical fiction based on real-life events for you who like a bit of 19th century seafaring-derring-do: The Terror. Solid as British cast, about the fate of the explorer ships HMS Terror and Erebus. I'm halfway through and really enjoying it.

I had to come back and find your post, read it the other day and it made me decide to check this out (had never heard of it before).
I'm two episodes in it's already got my attention big time.

I saw Scoot McNairy in True Detective 3 (as the father of the two kids) and thought he was great. IMDb'd his credits and ended up on HCF. Random internet rabbit holes can bear great fruit!

Finished last night, and thanks for pointing me at it. Got a bit confused at the end - who was 'screwing' who and how exactly - but that's down to me. Kevin Bacon was satisfyingly loathsome, and will def watch the next season.
