Sorry to be a pain but we have a big problem with REMF 3. The dates of offer to us, Tuesday - Friday, 4th-7th May are now not available due to Athletics training having spoken direct to the stadium manager.

He has said the best days are Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Now the problem is , Saturday is not possible due to Albion games, all the Sunday's available are not possible for various reasons. The Friday 7th May has been ruled out due to people wanting to go early to Wrexham on the 8th.

The only possible date would be Friday 30th April or Friday 23rd April. Friday 23rd would be better.

Alternatively we would need to put the game back to a Friday, Saturday or Sunday in August at the start of the season which would give more options/time.

Comments please.

At least in August we could get some training in as people will be more able to rearrange their dogs nights/glastonbury tickets/toe nail cutting sessions etc etc.

The other thing would be to play it somewhere else but that would be a shame.

We play Bristol City on the 24th-are people making a weekend of this?

And Notts County at home on the 1st April.

If people plan to go to Bristol on the 23rd this scuppers that date as well.

As much as it pains me I think we may need to put it back to August unless anyone has a bright idea.

Friday 23rd April - the night before Palace play away at Crewe and we play away at Bristol City. Both these games are "have to get up early in the morning" matches. Likely to bring in fewer supporters and make it difficult to arrange post-match socialising.

Friday 30th April - the night before CPFC's home game against Walsall and our home game against Notts County. Therefore better than Friday 23rd April.

August dates might seem more attractive, but could be hi-jacked by the fixture list (when are the .... ? Oh, don't bother answering that). And how easy is it to promote a REMF game when we haven't got an Albion home game in the couple of weeks prior to the date?

The whole thing is " a rock and a hard place ". Maybe we could have the game after the first league match of the season on a Friday.

I don;t know, my head is hurting. It seems every date between now and mid may is not possible for various reasons. If anyone can think of a date, Friday-Sunday between now and 9th May which would be possible I would be grateful !.

If not sometime in August or we could look to play the game in May but at another club/ground.

We have a home game on 1/5/04 so I will need to see if they would let us play the night before ( doubtful ) so this date is off as well !. :nono:

Are they going to let us play on the pitch the night before a home game??!

I hope not anyway as I have a wedding to attend the next day.

I think it is not possible to play the game the night before an Albion game.

To summarise

Friday April 23rd - no good as people going to Bristol for weekend
Saturday Aprill 24th - no good, Albion game
Sunday April 25th - no good, Albion race day
Monday- Thurs - no good, Athletics training
Friday April 30th - no good, Albion game next day
Saturday May 1st - no good, Albion game
Sunday May 2nd - not available
Monday-Thurs - no good Athletics training
Friday 7th May - no good as people going to Wrexham for weekend
Saturday 8th May - no good, Albion game
Sunday 9th May - no good, people coming back from Albion game

After that the pitch is not available.

It looks like we will have to put it back to August , there is no date possible unless we play in May at another ground.

Assuming that next season is like this one, the Coca Cola League programme will start on Saturday 7 August. That makes the pre-season weekend Friday 30 July, Saturday 31 July and Sunday 1 August.

No doubt there'll be some sort of Albion pre-season friendly over that weekend.

If the season starts on Saturday 14 August, things might be a bit easier - although we may have more people down with holiday commitments.

My only other thought is Sunday 18th April but that is leaving things pretty close.

This date would be fine if it wasn't for the fact that Palace are playing that day.

If we are home first in the play offs which we will be if we finish 5th or 6th(?), could we not play it on the Sunday after the first play off game?
