I know the club have announced the scheme and in any situation there is bound to be winners and losers. Could the club have presented the current scheme as a proposal and asked for feedback, comments, suggestions etc for say a couple of weeks and then finalised the scheme?

The club says that it is indebted to the fans for the fight and the constant campaigning over the past 14 years but vitally misses them out when it comes to probably the most contentious issue for the current season and now for seasons beyond?

We still have a few weeks until the season and probably a couple of weeks before the Pompey and Cardiff tickets go on sale so it is not beyond the realms of man to undertake some consultation, even if it is only through recognised fan groups such as the Supporters Club, A21, NWSS etc.

The club announced in March that a loyalty scheme would be launched, and on this very site suggested that supporters were welcome to offer opinion, which was why we pre-warned fans we were taking this step. As I am sure you appreciate there is no scheme that will keep everyone happy, and the club's opinion was that our season-ticket holders (with those who held STs at Withdean last season first) should have priority when it comes to high-demand away matches.
