German Police XI giving Nazi salute at the Goldstoen in 1938

I've not seen this before so I thought I would share

Original black and white Press photograph of a German Police football team giving a Nazi salute before a friendly match against the Sussex Police at the Goldstone Ground, Brighton on 23 August 1938. The local police won the match 3-2.

20.5 x 25.5cm. Rare. VG.

According to The Seagulls! book. They insisted on giving the Nazi salute when they arrived at Hove Station, at the Civic reception and before kick off.

Losing 3-2 ought to have been a sign that the salute wasn't very talismanic. They should have thought of the haka, which does better for the Maoris and All-Blacks

Who KNOWS how WWII would have turned out if they'd have done that!?

Either that, or she's a regular r/h golfer [wears glove on left hand] so brown arm with white hand syndrome.
