Feeling rather envious of the noise generated by FCUM fans yesterday and some different songs and variety to the majority of other teams.

We REALLY need some new songs and by this I mean NEW, not just new words sung in the style of go west, blue moon etc.

Loved the Feel the Noise song and a bit of Carpenters yesterday. Maybe we could sing some adapted random pop songs but just something a bit different.

Ideas?? :falmer:

I'm a bit shy but I suppose I could do 'Calling Occupants' if put to it.

Agree 100% - We used to come up with some crackers. I can remember our lot (Rumble I think) creating the PAul Watson Song and it took off and everyone sung it. It's really odd that we don't seem to have new songs for the last few yrs. Everyone needs to make an effort to start new ones and join in at matches.

Agree heartily. They don't have to be football songs, just stuff that's easy to sing.

100% spot on. Something a bit more intelligent and inspiring than "Albion, Albion, Albion" and "Seagulls" sung ten times a game. Its better than nothing, and our away support is good compared to most in this league, but it could do with something new.

The Mancs yesterday, Liverpool, and Geordies always come up with some crackers.

I agree although sometimes it feels like others take exception to people starting new songs!

Am trying to think of a pop song that has the word Bright in the chorus that can be adapted (Other than Bright eyes because that never took off)

I can't believe they had a Carpenters song! For months at work I've been singing to myself a version I made up to On Top of The World, but thought it was too GAY to be a football song:

We're on the top of the league
looking down on Southampton
and the only explantion I can find
is the Lord Gus Poyet
and his total football on the ground

The last line definitely needs working on, but I still love humming it to myself.

Calde whoever you may be,
you should be king in your own country,
But you're here with us in Sussex by the Sea
and you turned down the skum from St Marys

Feel free to adapt

Under your skin.
I've always wanted our fans to start singing along when something like Chelsea Daggers is being played at an away game. 3000 Brighton fans singing the "do do do, do do do, der der der" bit
