Everton have played without a striker already this season, and so have Roma at times. I don't think people should be moaning at Levein, he is trying something different to get a result against the best team in the world! They'll doubtless win the occaisonal corner or freekick to attack with, but they can't afford to let Spain play. If they do, they lose. It's simple, they're not good enough to outplay them. They have to try something. If Levein was doing this against just about anyone else, then fair enough, people should be spitting feathers. But he's got to do what he can to get the result tomorrow, and a 0-0 draw would be a superb result for them.
It's not really in the spirit of the game, but if Scotland get the result, I doubt they'll care.

Yeah he did it against the Czechs and they were poor.
Roma and Barcelona did it a couple of seasons ago and played fantastic attacking football. But they had midfields full of players comfortable on the ball and with intelligent passsing and movement, and players like Totti and Messi floating around, and more importantly played that way every week in matches and everyday in training. Scotland have been thrown into it after a couple of training sessions and the only player with any culture about it for Scotland is McFadden and he's injured
