I might add Milton Keynes to my plan for next year, it would be a good few weeks after Brighton and a couple of people I randomly follow on Strava get involved with it and generally seem to enjoy the event. I would also have a place to stay the night before which is just up the road, so that's a plus!

I particularly enjoyed the bits where her voice jumped an octave from "high" to "can almost only be heard by dogs"

Good morning with the Harmonica at Bevendean. Good trot but a good 45 seconds behind the man we both had a little reserve as I was unable to make it a race. Found the hill good fun. 9th male for Arena but looking at runners around me I was almost a minute off ETA.

Most important running feeling good again and ready for the Hedgehopper Downs 5 miler tomorrow and ready for a return to Monday track sessions at Withdean after 6 months off.

Done in a whisker under five hours, in no small part thanks to this legend.

Great work dazzer6666 and Greg Bobkin

21:52 at Hove Park for me this morning, equals my best there this year. Always seems you get a good parkrun 1-2 weeks after a marathon.

Bloody Worthing!
Some good running today by folk.

Seaford parkrun for me: 21.58 (AG 75.64%). Course has PB potential if the wind behaves itself. Standard not that high (today at least) - that time gave me 11th place which is higher than I'm used to. Now done all 18 of the Sussex parkruns.

I've been really struggling with jetlag since getting back from America, I think I've got my sleep pattern about back to normal after last nights 10 hours but it meant I was nowhere at 9am this morning. I'm going to put in a couple of pace sessions this week with the intent to run sub-19 next weekend, at parkrun 100 for me.

He's a true gentleman, apart from when he's barking orders at me to run [emoji23]

Completed the set today. It's the only one I'll have because Dark Star marathon can do one!

Sounds like you boys had fun and played (reasonably) nicely. Great running both

I think I might get involved with one of these trail marathons. Mouth 2 Mouth in December feels like the right one as prep for the Brighton Marathon.

Or should I hold out for a race closer to the BM for maximum benefit?

No need to restrict it to one. Do one soon...then if you like it you can immediately do another one. No one gives much of a stuff about times and stuff. The vibe is very different to the tarmac things.

Would highly recommend the Lunar-tic. Great fun. In July - easy logistics, easy route.

I’ll take a look.

In other news my BM10k race result has changed so I did get a Pb after all. If knocky1 doesn’t mind updating the time is now 38:35.

You’re heading in the right direction with that time. Must try Seaford parkrun soon. The Seaford Half today had good reviews.

Whilst looking for my result today at the Hedgehopper 5m I found yours from 2018 first. Congratulations your 40:13 beat me by 14 seconds. Good hard course and enjoyed that and Bevendean Parkrun double header this weekend.
All part of the training for the Worthing showdown in June.
