Why agree to re-schedule match at Plymouth three days after travelling to Carlisle , this also means that the team will have to play four matches in ten days .

Yes, quite. The club would have preferred to have played this match in October, but Plymouth wanted it on 21st September, and this date was sanctioned by the FL.

However, regarding the two games so close together, the squad are flying to Carlisle on the Friday and flying back Saturday evening, which will help.
