I can't quite remember, perhaps I'm being unfair on Pardew then. I thought it was the season that Coppell just failed to keep us up.

Seems there is uncertainty about Pardew's future at Saints. Let's hope they sack him and then we can snap up Inigo!

Looking back at the time I had a suspicion that Coppell was feathering his nest at Reading. I think Pardew nicked a defender also from under our noses, (Brown?) and we had an interest in Stephen Hunt and he ended up at Reading although can't remember if that was after Coppell left us.

It's rubbish I reckon.
Considering we gave Calderon a break in English football and he's able to work with a manger who speaks his own language, I can't see why we wouldn't be a strong favourite to sign him up on a longer contract.
