Yes, yes I know I'm a wee bit early, but this will be for those who burn the midnight oil, and then some, this time tomorrow to see the excitement unfold.

Personally, I can't wait. Bring it on.

I was really up for this election until I found out my new local authority had failed to register me.

That's a shame because it's the first time in my life I've been given the opportunity to vote in a marginal.

I may well take the journey to vote in my "registered" one, but the result is pretty much certain. It does however give me the opportunity to vote for a minor party that has absolutely no chance of getting elected. I'm quite looking forward to being major part of a minor slice of a pie chart

I am off the exercise my prerogative in a little booth in a few minutes. Then I may very well go and vote:lol: After I will be gauging the actions of part of the Pavilion public as they EXIT the polling station at the Church Of The Good Shepherd, Dyke Road.

Who are you going to vote for, Tim? You've been very quiet on the subject.

I for one will be up all night watching the results unfold, as for voting, myself and my good lady will be calling in to our local booths tonight.

I think it is important that everyone takes there opportunity to vote.

This years election should be exciting stuff

Exactly. Nothing more annoying than someone who moans on about politics and the government but doesn't exercise their right to vote

:) Then vote for the party closest to the anarchist position. Which I guess is the Conservatives.

:lolol:

Not the Greens then. I think anarchist would believe that the elections are nothing more than a fraud. They are designed to keep the elites in power. As Anarchist would say. If voting changed anything they would ban it

Incase anyone is due to vote at Essex Place you need to go to Somerset Point

http://www.theargus.co.uk/news/8148919.Brighton_polling_station_closed_due_to_damaged_ceiling/

A General Election polling station has been closed after the building's ceiling was damaged.
Brighton and Hove City Council is asking voters due to head to Essex Place, Brighton to go to Somerset Point.
No-one was hurt in the incident, which is believed to have been caused by ongoing building work.
A spokesman for the council confirmed the area has been sealed off.

God no. Anarchists believe in no government, everyone can live their own life free of oppression or being told what to do. So the closest to this is the conservatives of course. I suppose the logical position is not to vote, but if they think it through they should vote for the small government parties and hope that starts a trend

Although I guess that most anarchists don't follow their positions through too logically, i.e. globalisation and free markets are logical anarchist positions but it doesn't seem stop them protesting against exactly that. meanwhile most anarchists I'm sure think of themselves on the left of the political spectrum

Not so sure about that. I used to know a bunch of anarchists at uni and they thought that left and right were redundant terms ... but they hated socialists far more than they hated Tories.

Don't forget the national anarchists

From what I can see, there are as many different groups of anarchists as there are types of Christians. There are some anarchists whose beliefs would be very close to the Tories, there are some who'd fit into the BNP, there'd certainly be some who'd fit in with the Greens and there are some who wouldn't be close to any party.

Can't think of any who'd be happy with the monster-state, ID card-touting, CCTV-loving, law-passing New Labourites however.

I think you may be mixing up (Right Wing) Libertarians and Anarchists, with respect.
