Well lots have people have said this league is upside down and what an opportunity for Strauss and the boys make us pay for our sloppy batting, bowling and fielding. We may be saved by the weather and hope we can last a few sessions in between the showers.

Unchanged side, from the Sussex website:

Sussex will be aiming to extend their lead at the summit against a Middlesex side who will be eager to open their account for the new campaign, as they are yet to taste victory in any of their first four matches.

Follow the game live at Sussex County Cricket Club.

The squad is as follows:

JE Anyon
CD Collymore
JS Gatting
MW Goodwin (c)
AJ Hodd
RSC Martin-Jenkins
CD Nash
R Naved-ul-Hasan
MS Panesar
MJ Prior
MA Thornely

RG Aga

BBC Sussex are providing ball-by-ball commentary on all 4 days of the match. The commentary can be found via the below address: BBC Sport - Cricket - County cricket commentaries.

You can't really see how that side is bottom of the whole CC.

Three England players (one current, one very recent and one recent), two overseas Test players, the highly rated Malan and the promising Murtagh, as well as a good county pro in Newman. There must be something amiss there.

And where's Finn?

I am sure they will sort it out for tomorrow and start their charge up the table.
