Whoops! They're still updating. This is for Sunday:

A band of snow will continue to move slowly eastwards across England during the first half of Sunday. This may be heavy initially but will tend to die out during Sunday morning. Total accumulations from this snow event are likely to be of order 5-10cm in many places; this includes low lying areas. The public are advised that this is likely to lead to some travel disruption, and should pay close attention to forecasts as the event approaches.

By the seaside in West Somerset
thought we might see a little of the white stuff this morning with a biting cold wind combined with the first cloud cover for a few days but the nearest is way across in Leicestershire.

I liked the look of the those snow forecast charts you posted earlier, but the met office update suggests we'll only get a little bit and there'll be band up through Sussex that misses out on most of it.

Not been able to get on the Met Office site. The south today forecast at lunch made it no clearer though, with a story about cold and snow, but a forecast that contradicted that.

Why are people desperately WANTING snow ?

I'll be proper MACKED OFF if the game on Saturday falls foul of the weather. Its one of only 5 games we've got left at home on a Saturday.

4 if Pompey go tits up.
