Seems unlikey we'll profit from Zamora

I bet Spurs value him at £1,499,999 - the bastads

By Paul Camillin

Albion are unlikely to receive any additional money from Spurs as a result of Bobby Zamora's deadline-day transfer to West Ham United.

Zamora signed for his boyhood heroes yesterday as make weight in the £7m-plus deal that saw Hammers goal ace Jermain Defoe move to White Hart Lane.

Albion are awaiting official confirmation from the League on the value placed on Zamora by the two clubs, but if the club are to receive anything - under the terms of the sell-on clause - that value would need to be higher than the £1.5m Albion received for Zamora in the summer, as such clauses only relate to amounts over and above the initial fee - and as Albion Chairman Dick Knight explained that is unlikely.

"It depends on the value Tottenham put on him," Knight explained. "We won't know that until the League clarify it. It only becomes relevant to us if they valued him above the £1.5m. I suspect that's unlikely, given that he's not been a regular in the first team."

its a flaw in the sell on rules and Silent really is a DICK to have missed this possability once again the chairman has shown that he is incapable of chairing this great club - POTLESS AND CLUELESS sold down the river again !!!!!!!!!!!

DICK OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS
where did the money go?? in the pockets of the Falmer lawyers, probably few months wages for them !!!!!!

We might as well have just given him away !!!

Spurs will probably value bobby at £1m, in a buisness sense they would be stupid to value him over £1.5m and give us money...I mean would you? :censored: pleat :censored:

Charlton are doing well out of this deal - they're getting an extra £840,00 sell on for Defoe because of a tribunal ruling after West Ham poached him.

Good luck to them.

if charlton doing well out of deal ..westham may want to value defoe lower and bobby higher so spurs pay rather than them

That doesn't make sense. Either they're both valued highly or they're both values lowly. Either way, there's a £6/7m difference in their valuation. It's actually in both clubs interest to value BZ as a free transfer and Defoe as the rest, but they won't get away with that.

How do you work that out? It's in Spurs interest to value Bobby at 1.5 mill, then they can deduct 1.5 mill from what they need to pay west ham for Defoe.

The fee is already set at £6m (rising to £7m) for Defoe with Zamora going the other way.

Given that is the case, what I am saying is that it is in both club's interest to say that Defoe is worth the entire value of the transfer fee rather than say £11m for Defoe and £5m for Zamora.

Otherwise, both clubs would end up paying hefty sell on fees to Charlton and Albion.

I cannot see that we will receive any more money for Zamora. First they don’t use him, and secondly we probably won’t receive any more money. Bloody Spurs. Also, Zamora only worth £500,000 more than Stead?

Claiming that Ernest and F.G. are one and the same is almost as ridiculous as saying that Hove Born and Bred and Paul Valley were one and the same person!......oh.....
