Car accident compensation - is this a scam?

Is this a scam?

Just got a call from a claims company regarding a minor car prang I was involved in two years ago.

They said there is provision with the other party's insurance (at no cost to their client or me) to gain compensation for any injuries.

I explained I was uninjured but that basically said that 90% of drivers suffer whiplash without even realising it and that I could claim without any proof at all. Just my say so.

They had all my details and some details of the prang.

Anyone else had this? Is this dodgy or is it really free cash?

Forget it. Its probably more hassle than it is worth. Its really disgusting the depths these companies will go to these days to make money.

Whatever compensation you did get, it probably 80% to them and 20% to you.

These companies should be shut down. No wonder my insurance never gets any cheaper.

Dont rely on shit like that.

Go and see a solicitor if you think you have a claim

tell them to f*** off and mind their own business, it was two years ago and sorted. these people are leeches. imagine how you'd feel if you got a letter regarding a claim against you from 2 years ago.

I suspect they've "bought" this information from some agency or other and calling on all victims to convince them that they were injured but simply didn't know it.

Sickening that they get away with this rubbish.

I'd leave well alone.
