Is the more recent excavation and formwork to the right of the massive thrust block construction all part of the same thing - or are we seeing foundations going in for the south stand?

I think what you are talking about is the second thrust block that will support the arch for the west stand. The foundations for the south stand are largely complete but are covered whilst the thrust blocks are being constructed.
