Brighton striker Craig Davies is likely to return after recovering from a virus but David Livermore is suspended.
Calvin Andrew remains sidelined with a hamstring injury while Glenn Murray and Kerry Mayo continue their recovery.
Northampton will hand late fitness tests to Giles Coke and Danny Jackman ahead of their trip to face Brighton.
Midfielder Coke picked up an injury during the 2-0 defeat to Walsall while Jackman missed training on Monday because of an illness.
