Withdean Kick Off Time

Is there any reason why home matches never kick off on time? It is almost every game now. Often as a knock on effect second halves are not starting until 4.05pm leading to finishes at nearly 4.55pm being a not uncommon feature.

Is this a case of the club trying to make up for lack of quality on the pitch, by giving more quantity on it. In which case I would advise it is not helping, particularly for those of us who get home to find the dinner in the dog!

I would also point insider towards the giant size Mars Bar, which I think is wildly acknowledged as a case of quantity not outweighing quality.

I believe the referee is actually responsible for the time keeping (re kick off) on a matchday.
