With the current cold spell likely to last for quite some time, would it be possible for the club to give reasonable advance notice of the time of any pitch inspections and to ensure that the result of any such inspections are posted on the official site, NSC, sent by text etc. as soon as possible after the outcome is known. Cheers.

Yes. FYI - The inspection wasn't planned for Saturday AM, as having inspected the forecast Friday we expected match to go ahead. However, Friday night was much colder than expected and it was only arrival at the ground that the inspection was decided upon.
