I went into the shop at 11am to check if the match was on. The lad in the shop said very blithely "Yes it's on there's not even going to be a pitch inspection - the only game that's off is Leeds".
It was only by pure chance that we went into Currys and saw Sky Sports News that we found the game was off. On getting back to the shop we found that it had been called off after not one but TWO pitch inspections. If the kiddie in the shop didn't know he should at least have asked. AND we got done at Brighton station and had to pay fares back to Haywards Heath otherwise we could not have got on the train as it "wasn't a match day"
Can somebody tell the staff in the shop to check if the match is on or subject to a pitch imspection rather than give out erroneous information.
