Why are you waiting for the Man City date before sending tickets?

I went into the shop today, paid for my Man City tickets BUT I have to wait until the date before I get a physical ticket. Why is this? I've paid for my ticket, there is no backing out now with respect to the actual date....so why cant you simply print a ticket off while I wait? The ticket office will send me my ticket......which we all know is a bit of a lottery these days.

Also, the whole transaction for 3 tickets took over 10 minutes, each one was processed individually and I was given an A4 hand written receipt. I suppose I should be grateful you didnt give me a engraved stone tablet but why do you still hand write receipts? It is the 21st century you know.

Thanks for pointing out the century, but we are actually aware of that.

The system we use will not let us print a ticket without a date (therefore your gripe should be with the software manufacture). Simple as that. The hand-written receipt is because usually the ticket is printed with a receipt, and there is no till or receipt printing machine in the ticket office.
