I see the Banana Splits is (are?) coming back BBC NEWS | Entertainment | The Banana Splits in TV comeback

So then I thought , what other classic childrens programmes should return to the screen.

I have a nomination: Captain Pugwash Might not be allowed now though, would have to change the characters' names

You have to remember, kids may KNOW a show is crazystoopid, but love it for exactly that reason.
That was why I liked the Banana Splits anyway, it had all the stupid ingredients.

Pirate Barnabas

Tom the Cabin Boy
Cut-Throat Jake

No references to Master Bates, Roger the Cabin Boy, or Seaman Stains ever appeared in the show.


But I will look forward to having a watch of the Bananas again

The Red Hand Gang. Absolute quality and after each episode finished my brother and I used to go out on our bikes looking for crimes to solve. Anything we rode past could've been a clue although we never knew what the crime was!
