Whose stadium?

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
Dear Insider,

I thought I would draw your attention to a letter that was printed in the Monday edition of the Argus. You may have already seen it or you may not even care, but I thought someone might like to respond to this detractor if he is spreading mistruths at the expense of the club.

Many thanks.

Whose Stadium (from The Argus)</title>

Whose stadium?

I write in response to an article headed "Stadium use" (The Argus, May 14).

This article gives the impression that Brighton and Hove Albion now own Withdean Stadium, rather than Brighton and Hove City Council.

Could you please clarify for me who owns the stadium because it was used as an athletic track in years past, on which youth clubs had the use from the council.

I was also under the impression that Brighton and Hove Albion was in favour of helping youngsters but it seems they don't want to know unless it is football orientated.

This, I think, is selfish of them because the football season is now over. If the stadium is owned by the council then it is time it told Brighton and Hove Albion to stand down and give the athletes their time.

So I say good luck to L Rottner for bringing this issue to light.
