Do any of you fine people know of any army surplus stores in the Brighton - Littlehampton area?

There's one in the North Laines - Kensington Gardens. Also a slightly odd one just of Preston Circus towards the big tunnel.

Nestling in green nowhere
The one at the bottom of New England hill "Paul Bruton" is the beat one in Brighton, the one in the Laines (Colonel Tom or something) is well pricey.

There is one near Bury called Drop Zone. Its is well hidden in the loft of a barn (the downstairs bit is used for converting ex-military land rovers).

They used to be a good shout if you are willing to look through hundreds of items to find what you want.

If you can stretch your area of search out east a bit, try MFC Supplies at 9 Station Rd, Hailsham (01323 846883)

Yeah thats not too far out for me, Cheers LB!

Not suggesting you go there, but there's one in Stoke that is probably the scariest shop in the world. Run by two Rasputin lookalikes it specialises in big f***ing knives with serated edges and replica fire arms. With the addition of a sound system which plays ear bleeding german death metal its not surprisingly official stockists for the potteries annual 'Kill your family' competition.

What did you want to get from there ?

I work just up the road from one in Crawley.

I can take a look to see if they stock what you need :drink:

I don't think I've ever been in an army surplus store. Can bargains be had? Maybe I've just seen too many films where people are taken off to a back room and shown lots of Nazi memorabilia - but I'm sure they're not all like that.

I have some old mess tins I was planning on getting rid of. I used to just knick uniform from RAF bases and other cadet groups and so on. It was like a challenge to see who could collect the most soldier 95 DPM and not get caught.
BDR in Worthing is alright. Can be a bit pricey.

I used to do that too!

The stores at RAF Lyneham were the best place ever - we went to summer camp there and ended come coming back with loads of free stuff.
