Just got home from playing kozfest down in Woolacombe last night, supporting Gong, first gig for 18 months, what a pleasure!
Also must mention a band called Dead otter, not just a great name!
Knackered, but so good to get back on the road and out gigging again.
We're playing at the Hope & Ruin on Saturday . . . .

Sorry, yes, that 's the one! I've never been a fan of huge venues, seeing quality artists at smaller venues is always a real treat..
remember seeing Paul Weller in the Zap club about 1992 . . .still have the ticket! supported the Blockheads in a tent on Shoreham beach a few years back as well...
Unfortunately that's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes, drummer in one of my old bands got to see Quo at the Hove park Tavern about 15? Years ago. A ticket would be priceless if wanker bankers etc got in on the deal. . . . The whole live music scene is hard, most musicians are effectively...
Guilty as charged. ;-) A day out was offered, what was I supposed to do!
Steve and band were superb, like Wellers band, no prima donnas, just good musicians working together and making a very pleasant noises, aided and abetted by a great location/setting and all the crew were brilliant too...
Great quote, but As much as I like football, it's a modern game, as are most sports. Music is life, as old as, well, really old, like Bonio from ewe-two or the strolling bones!
Thanks, it's the iPad that can't spell Lewes.
You did the right thing re Soft machine.
Next outing is the H&R again, a good venue and easy to get to. Fri 7th, I'm the fat fingered one with 4 strings.
We played with the monochrome set in Lewis earlier this year, the laziest band in the world ever, and dull with it.
We supported Soft Machine at the Con club on Sunday, jazz-noddle-tasted although a bit of far in the wrong direction for me, they are very good musicians.
unknown Mortal...
We've played at the Concorde a few times this year, we supported the Sonics on one occasion, and the Green Door store, both venues that can sound good but are too loud, likewise the Haunt. THe Brunswick remains a good music venue . . .
