Who are 'they'?
I dont imagine many people here to be out of work or in poverty given the cost to attend
For me something like this is hedonistic regardless of beliefs cultures race colour or status. Hence why I do not think its the place. Given the acts I would have certainly gone to this...
So is that how everyone feels there? I dont think so, so not the right time or place.

Thats the thing, as much as many will like it there will be loads that are not bothered or have opposing views and it can take you out of that mindset bubble
Agree with this. Music for many is a way to get away from everyday life (it certainly is for me) and a festival is a way to completely get away. It is sad to see politicians using it as their own platform
Technology - dont you love it. I remember 20 years ago you had to wait for the live show on the BBC in the evening and they had maybe 1 song from each of the big groups on during the day as highlights - now I am already in to my second act live
Can we keep one thread away from politics (even if he is coming to the stage for some strange reason later) and back on with the music - Jools has kicked off the day very well
