Just watching this with Mrs V, beautiful cinematography, Andrew Scott onboard guarantees a good show....started typing this then got sidetracked and then watched episode 3...the action on the boat was absolutely ridiculous sadly..when trying to burn the anchor rope off the petrol would have run...
He's become ever more Marmite over the years ..plenty still think he's a genius but that number is slowly dwindling now. I never got his " cringe " style of humour so don't bother watching.
It's not Netflix but ITVPlayer, I thoroughly recommend " Archie " a drama about Cary Grant and how he made it to the top.... Born in poverty in Bristol he had an awful childhood but somehow rose above it to become one of the greatest male Hollywood film actors of all time. Jason Issacs...
Just started the new series of Lupin and it's still good fun. I can't be arsed to watch anything about Beckham as he ceased to be a footballer and became a business opportunity long ago.
Just watched this tonight, very entertaining and quite clever. It takes a certain ability to become a believable character...I look at Craig in this and don't see Bond at all. Great acting.
That's pretty much my feeling too, I'm struggling to have any connection or interest in the characters too. The lady " Doctor " who unwinds the pregnant woman's umbilical cord with a bit of massage despite a, being a self confessed trained mental health doctor rather than an Obsetrician, b...
Just come on here after watching the first episode, looks like a crock of shite so far. The Captain of the ship seems to have no rank insignia, no cap and a fondness for aimlessly wandering the aft weather deck for no apparent reason. Does it get any better ?
Saw the first one the other say and it was well done and well acted...only problem is that the " meet me in the library/Music Room " stuff is pretty ridiculous as no way could you find yourself any privacy like that in an all boys school.
Never made it to the end of Don't Look Up... Mrs V lost interest about half way and we never went back.. I has also got pretty bored with Lawrence shouting " **** " every 7 minutes or so and breaking down.
Saw The Lost Daughter last night on Netflix, directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal. Its a bit slow, moody and slow... did I say slow ? not much happens and not very quickly either but always beautifully shot with undercurrents of sexual tension and violence and will they won't they interactions...
Just watched Death to 2021... Has some good laughs, Charlie Brooker is one of the producers and it features Tracey Ullman and Diane Morgan so, worth a watch.
