Sad yet inevitable demise as usual. There has to be a couple of changes at least, there could be four or five but I'm sure most of those in the team will be given a second chance. Could well go two down and never get it back with the current squad.

I've always liked Moeen too but sadly he's not been cutting it with the bat recently and more recently with the ball. Playing for England shouldn't be a job for life, he needs to rediscover some form with the bat and/or work out a method of digging in yet still scoring.

About 40 minutes until this pitch becomes a minefield.

This Test has already gone, nothing less than a consecutive Bowling AND batting miracle can save us.

Convicts milking the bowling for a comfortable 4 an over....and what, 27 overs til the new ball?

Starting to think this has gone now. No real problems for the batsmen, ball now soft, Broad bowled out. Could be 280 to win batting last.

Somebody never made the squad, however, Rory Burns scored a century !

I like the way you are thinking BG, I love the way your previous experiences of England collapses and ****ups hasn't dimmed your optimism.

He also clearly said that the ball was live so Stokes had every reason to go for the second run and that it would have been impossible for the Umpire to check for a possible run-out. players running down the pitch and estimate at what point in the second run the ball was released by the fielder.

Lovely to hear John Holder in the " Ask The Umpire " lunch break confirm that the Umpire should ( and did ) award 6 runs in the World Cup Final when the ball came off Stoke's bat and went for 4 overthrows... so that's it ! We Won !

Maybe BG is suggesting someone should yell down a coalmine that we need a new England captain up here.... Oh, just remembered, no coalmines left ...:(

The last 10 years at least we have been relying on Broad and Anderson to be our frontline bowlers, Jimmy in particular has been used " sparingly " outside of the Tests for many years. I think this was probably his last hurrah whatever happened over the five Tests and no one was going to deny him...
