£3-5m!? Out of interest, how many games of his have you seen for us?
I'm sticking to my assertion that we were well within our rights to ask for that much considering what other Championship players were going for. He's one of the best defenders in the league.
FYI from one of our main local radio reporters:
Tim Dellor 2h
Down at the Madejski having a few conversations. The owners have made it clear Liam Moore will be staying at Reading. The rumours about Mo Barrow leaving I am told is just "agent chat". Everyone here readingfc hoping for and...
I think he's professional enough to get his head down if the move doesn't happen. Besides, he'll have 4 months of being in the shop window before January, he should use it as an opportunity to impress.
I've been prepared for us to lose him since the end of last season. He's far too good for a struggling Championship side, and if he doesn't want to be here then we should entertain offers. It's a curious one though. He's handed in a transfer request but from what I gather, there's no current...
Yeah, I can't see them affording him.
I do think we will accept anything north of £10m+ now that he has handed in a transfer request, maybe even something like £8m rising with add ons.
I don't think you guys have tapped him up. Your interest allegedly ended well before Moore decided to hand in a transfer request. Moore has previous with this sort of thing, he kicked up a huge fuss when he was warming the bench at Leicester to try and force a move somewhere to get regular first...
No he isn't, Moore is 3 days older than him
Anyway, whether he's "worth that" or not, my point is Reading are entitled to value him for that much given the market
I see Bobby Reid's off to Cardiff for £10m despite only being in the last year of his contract.
Moore's got 3 years left, is also English, the same age, has more experience at a higher level + more honours. You can see why we are holding out for cash.
I've not seen Goldson so couldn't comment on that, but yeah, he's very good. Jury is still out on his ability at the top level but he was our best player last season.
Clement was interviewed by local press this afternoon, said we're determined to keep hold of him, so I don't think we've accepted a bid yet
Would be surprised if we turned down £10m though
A 17-page thread on a Reading player and not one of you has mentioned the pitch invasion or the song. Only one user has called us tinpot.
You're slipping!
