    Hughton Out

Although this is a "Hughton out" thread, I'm not advocating a change of manager, just discussing him. The thread title is a little unfortunate. Results wise there is not a lot between them but the last 7 games has been the worst run this season by far.

Hyypia had more than his fair share of those too. My only but is; How much of the Hyypia era could really be blamed on him when coming here after a quick fix summer patch up job? I was disappointed that some of our fans decided to hound the guy out of here, and right this second, with the way...

There has to be at least 8 attempts of poor sarcasm in your post, nice work give yourself a cheap pat on the back. Never played Championship Manager. Is pass and move a setting on it? Seriously though, have I said at any time said that it was a pass and move problem? No, they are professional...

I was pleased to see him come here and thought he was the best man for the job but now have reservations. Yes he has been around in football for a long time, but football has also changed a lot. He has a good record on paper, did well for Birmingham without getting them promoted. Newcastle had...

I think players buy into a brand of football first, money second. If a club like Derby were chasing the same player as us and offered them £10k a week, we would have to offer £15k to tempt them. I think we went all defensive primarilly because Hughton and Calderwood are old school CB's and...

    Hughton Out

Do you think that his cautious style will help for recruiting good players over the summer? I would say that it will probably put a lot of quality players off coming here. The brand of football at the moment is not a very good advert for the summer transfer market. Good luck to him though.

Bloom was happy for him to stay, and that is good enough for me. Unless you are saying that Bloom is clueless ??? I think we should just agree to disagree and come back to this next season.

Of course we can have alternative views, but I don't think Eddie Howe ever pampered to the players to make it easy for them. It is down to the players to raise their game, not for the manager to make allowances for them, otherwise no one learns anything.

We didn't have much choice but to play JFC and Gardner, and KLL blows hot and cold wherever he plays. He set up to play a Bournemouth type system with wing backs. If the players couldn't understand it they shouldn't be playing football. It was always player errors though misplaced passes and...

In my opinion Bloom was right in wanting him to stay. You have to ask yourself why Hughton wasn't Blooms first choice last summer or even in December?

    Hughton Out

Last season we ran out of fit players. We Lost Crofts, Stephens, Ulloa and KLL for a bit, Orlandi for most of it, Buckley in and out, and March went after the Hull game. After a good performance in the 1st leg of the playoffs we did well, but the second leg the injuries took over live on the...

I liked what Hyypia was doing and we gave Bournemouth a run for their money with a 3-2 unlucky defeat unlike the 0-2 loss we suffered against them a few weeks ago. I would take the 3-2 defeat any day of the week over a 0-2. We have been watching rubbish since the 1-0 defeat at Blackpool.

1 win, 5 losses and 2 goals in the last ten games is nothing to shout about. Glad that you are happy with that but if the current stats continue into next season we are still heading to league 1.

    Hughton Out

I wanted Hughton before Hyypia got the job but at the end of the day, with more or less the same squad, Hughton has done no better than Hyypia. What is a massive shame is that the fans, including yourself, hounded Hyypia out on NSC and at the Amex. Last season there were a lot of fans...

    Hughton Out

I don’t think there is anything wrong with being critical especially when I am reflecting a view from the radio. Although this is a Hughton out thread, I am not advocating it, just saying that I am not convinced. I certainly haven’t been abusive to Hughton. With all the stick and abuse Hyypia...

spence So you would give the radio commentary team a thumbs down as well ???

    Hughton Out

I have formed my opinion based on the view of the radio commentary team. If it was all about preparing him for a matchday situation the coach trip and bench would have done. I can't imagine anything more disappointing for a player to come on for 5 seconds and not even touch a ball. As I said...

0 seconds would have been better than 5.

    Hughton Out

To be fair a lot of fans found the Tilley substitution, with 5 seconds to go on the clock, less than a convincing, and the radio commentary backs up this feeling. They were as puzzled about this as anyone, so it inevitably raises questions about his decision making.
