Yep, I guess I can see your point, but it looks like it will be simple to clear the deck so it can be used to get to the sea end. It may take years to rebuild what was lost but it should be usable, unlike the West Pier that was structually unsafe since 1975 and left to rot. Thinking about it...

Still lots of it left though, it is superficial not structural damage and the building looks fairly simple to reconstruct. Looks a bit like a scaled down Hindenburg disaster.
