Woeful season, but potentially invaluable lessons learned for the future?

I was talking about previous seasons not the season upcoming. He insists he isn't, maybe Paul Barber's cousin or something? I know it's different for Premiership clubs as they will get big money from the new tv deal but from my perspective if they cut season ticket prices, the stadium would be...

Woeful season, but potentially invaluable lessons learned for the future?

I agree, but the club need to be honest to supporters about their realistic aspirations to the fans. Raising ticket prices and the comments from TB before the season raises fans expectations, If we aren't going to invest as much as others clubs (those without parachute payments specifically) it...

Woeful season, but potentially invaluable lessons learned for the future?

Yep, that's a huge positive that we haven't had the luxury of in recent offseasons and you would hope with the wealth of experience Hughton has in the Championship he knows exactly what sort of players we need for a big improvement on this seasons lackluster effort. Fair enough, can't say I buy...

Woeful season, but potentially invaluable lessons learned for the future?

I agree, but my point is if we had genuine aspirations of trying to get promoted, in my opinion we would either keep hold of our best players at pretty much all costs OR reinvest in some quality replacements. Perhaps some big mistakes were made and we will be back on track next season, I hope so...

Woeful season, but potentially invaluable lessons learned for the future?

It's a similar statement of intent. All I'm saying is I wish the club would stop with the mixed messages. Upping prices and talking bullishly is all well and good but if the fans don't see results or investment they will begin to vote with their feet.

Woeful season, but potentially invaluable lessons learned for the future?

Hang on, didn't Bloom say this season he thought we would be in and around the top 6 and be very competitive?

Woeful season, but potentially invaluable lessons learned for the future?

I imagine IF the budget is higher it is due to the transfer fees for Baldock, Stockdale,O'Grady and Kayal. But lets be honest that doesn't scratch the surface of the profit we made from selling Ulloa, Bridcutt and Buckley. If you sell three of your top players and the club keep spouting the...

Woeful season, but potentially invaluable lessons learned for the future?

You could be right. I'm not sure whether it was true or NSC rumour but wasn't it hinted at that Bloom flew back to Australia with no apparent intention of sacking Hyypia and then after the resignation a week or so later flew back for the interview process for the new manager? We will probably...

Woeful season, but potentially invaluable lessons learned for the future?

    1) Clubs who are serious about promotion try to keep their players at all costs unless they get an offer they can't refuse, selling almost all of your best players then not spending money for quality replacements is unforgivable 2) If you honestly believe the clubs 'party line' that the budget...

Woeful season, but potentially invaluable lessons learned for the future?

Lets face it the season as a whole has been pretty horrendous, and we've been arguably pretty lucky to survive (assuming we get 0 points from our next two games). However, hopefully the people associated with the club have learned some valuable lessons Bloom -Got lucky by all accounts that...
