My hunch is they won't. I think Dorsey seems to know what he's doing. Get the right coaches in, pick up talent on the offensive line and give Mayfield some targets in the off season and I think we have a playoff contender if not next year then the year after.

Looks like a pretty egregious overpay to me. However, I like Cooper's talent, perhaps a change of scenery might do him some good. At least Dak Prescott has a target once Cooper gets up to speed on the playbook.

To be fair to Haley (and I was of the opinion his time was up in Pittsburgh, I'm no huge fan of his) Hue Jackson came across like David Brent with a headcoaching job in the NFL. But yeah, Haley has got form for being pretty disagreeable.

Big win for the Steelers in Cincinnati. The defense appears to be trending up to below average which may be good enough if the offence continues to show strongly. The keys for us going forward to be getting James Conner (or that other guy if he comes back) going to allow balanced playcalling...

Yeah, I've revised my opinion on Ward. I thought he was the best of a pretty mediocre cornerback class and you'd reached a fair bit for him. Still think he was a slight reach (though NFL front offices really value shutdown corners in the new passing NFL) but he's been fantastic so far.

I think last year's draft was pretty decent and the free agency moves this year made sense. Still think the head coach will need to change for the Browns to make full use of all the potential they have gathered. Exciting times to be a Browns fan though.

And yet he got an awful Bills team to the playoffs last year. He's about as safe and unspectacular as it gets. It's Mayfield's job now and the sky is the limit with that kid. A few rookie errors but his arm is just unbelievable. He sure doesn't lack for a bit of confidence....

When the Steelers had our kicker crisis after Suisham did his ACL and the Scobee trade was an unmitigated disaster we found Boswell in a kicking competition. There's plenty of decent kickers around. Though given Boswell's putrid start to this season........

Saquon Barkley will likely be a great player but it seemed pretty obvious to me that last year was the year to go QB early. If the Giants go 3-13, it probably won't matter as they'll get another shot next year, albeit in a worse QB class. What you need to hope is that Barkley isn't good enough...
