I don't think any of his supporters are making him out to be a world beater, just that his contribution to this team went unappreciated by a vocal minority. I feel like this is what's going on with JFC at the moment as well.

I hope the idiots that used to slag off Barnes are happy with themselves. Whilst not the motivating factor, I believe this played some part in him moving.
He was an all round good player at this level and still developing. He's never going to score 20 goals a season in the Premier League but...
