The I'd echo the advice saying to stick around North Laine - The Albert, North Laine, Basketmakers, Great Eastern, George, Office all good pubs with decent beer selections and other specialities. I'd advise you have a burger at either Troll's Pantry (which is in the Hobgoblin pub - same area)...
