My point is that we overspent massively on Gus's watch. Unless we got promoted, we had to reduce the wage bill, therfore he's not comparing apples with apples. I am aware that the overpend wasn't Gus's fault but he definately did benefit from it. Clearly Poyet and Barber are not each others...

I don't think there are many that think that. Perhaps that's why your the biggest pessimist on here. Most people are happy where we are. Sure we'd like to see some PL football but it's not the be all and end all.
