We will. I'm with Stat Brother, I think we will be fairly close to the transfer record for the other one. I reckon we should have learnt that lesson from last year
No one's asking you to be excited. Just to see it for what it is. We've signed some decent cover with a good recent track record in this league.
I'm not excited. I can however, see why we've signed this player and that with a bit of luck it could be a very clever bit of business.
Exactly. Remember when we were all greeting CMS like he was the 2nd coming rather than a wholehearted but ultimately limited striker that we were ripped off for?
You could even argue that O'Grady's goals are worth more by virtue of the standard of player that he's been playing with. I can't see anything in this deal that doesn't strike me as at least worth a go. It's low, low risk for a player who's done at least as well as Ashley Barnes at this level...
The word "ambition" appears to be getting overused by the same people that overuse "passion."
Would anyone care to tell me what the current definition of "ambition" is?
The jury's out on both of these isn't it. Hughes is younger than Upson and has more top flight experience, Toko's yet to play a game in this country
COG won't be the replacement for Ulloa.
We should be giving this at least until the start of the season but truthfully until 1 September.
Similar to Hughes, this looks like a "moneyball" signing. Striker who had a good year in a poor poor team and has experience of the league. Low fee, low wages I'd imagine.
It'll look a masterstroke if it comes off, if it doesn't we probably haven't lost a great amount.
I would be massively...
