Is it in the FA's power to save face and reduce the ban to 1 match ?

Sadly we know that the FA/FL will close ranks and nothing will come of it, but I'm still writing to the FA anyway to ask why the ref was influenced by the yellow card being knocked out of his hand.

So it was a yellow. The ref had a yellow in his hand. The Middlesbrough flower rolled his sock down, and knocked the yellow card out of the ref's hand. Why is a red card now fair, and why is knocking the card out of the ref's hand allowed ?
