I'm typing this on a MS Surface Laptop. Other than for integration into a pre-existing Apple ecosystem, I can't see how a MacBook would be better. That said - they're pretty much the same price, when specced equivalently...

Having used Android phones for several years, I've recently been given an iPhone by work and I find it terrible to use. It's like Android was five years ago.
