I agree. Chelsea have some classy skilful players. They are not champions for no reason. This was always going to be a tough test for us. It was how we responded that mattered, and despite the scoreline, I think we have played well enough to deserve more. We had some tough decisions go against...
All their goals have been brilliant pieces of skill, but only allowed because of bad defensive errors on our part.
We have played well, and the score flatters Chelsea, but I'd just like us to get one or two back to boost our confidence.
Maybe you're right. We could have started with a 4-1-4-1 formation with the current players on the field. Having Goldson sitting in front of the back four, with Hemed up front on his own. Then we could have changed to a 3-5-1-1 formation when we needed to.
Normally I would agree with your first statement, but we are looking far more dangerous going forward with this formation.
We are already 2-0 down, so why not stick with it and see if we can get back into he game?
They are that good with the ball at their feet, they could score if we had 10...
Schelotto just isn't good enough! I'm sure there's a good reason why Bruno isn't playing, but I would rather have Rosenior playing in this type of formation. He's better going forward, and defensively.
We have to be more decisive with our passing. We are all over the place today. We were unlucky not to get the penalty, but we are also showing some good intent going forward. 3-2?
