Not sure we ever will? We’ve grown to a much noticed size and inevitably richer clubs are hovering for just about everyone from CEO downwards as we’re already seeing. With that comes disruption and more snakes than ladders for a club like us. Can we hold onto our team (on and off pitch) whilst...
We hold the record of hitting the woodwork most times in a match. It became ridiculous last season across our entire squad. In some ways our ability to not score has become our identity.
“The Brighton Way!”
Actually it happens a lot in fairness. Almost predictable. Hence the understandable frustration. Never mind. I stopped saying “one day” a long time ago because us and OT just ain’t meant to be. As tonight demonstrates ably!
Hate VAR. if it takes two men and dozens of cameras, plus five mins of analysis how on earth is that clear and obvious etc? Another reason why modern football SUCKS.
No you’re not getting the classic bit. We play em off the park, but conspire ourselves to duck things up. It’ll be another “Brighton dominated but could not…blah blah bloody blah” match report. Classic. Albion. Never won at OT.
No, but those are exceptions not the CLASSIC rule! Reminds me of ‘93, we played so well that day and came away with nothing. Schmicel made a double wonder save that day too to deny us.
Classic Albion away at a big club who aren’t playing well. We could maybe should be ahead but you just know they’ll still score with one chance whilst none of our several chances go in. If ever we’re to notch up a win at OT we have to make nights like tonight count.
Not hopeful simply because we never quite manage to meet Utd on a bad day at OT even when we play exceptionally well. One of those places Brighton just never win unlike the Leicesters, West Brom’s, QPRs of this world.
