Murray offered substantial pay rise, deal still deadlocked

I think we can all assume he will go. That, and the last few results and performances, is, for me, putting a bit of a downer on what has been one of the most exciting seasons since I have been supporting the Club. In the Argus, Gus is talking about getting in new strikers as his number one...

Murray offered substantial pay rise, deal still deadlocked

Frankly, if the guy is more interested in money than wearing the stripes and advancing his game under a top Manager, then it is best that he just goes. Yes, money is obviously important, but I cannot believe he has been made a bad offer (all be it not as good as he could get elsewhere), and...

Murray offered substantial pay rise, deal still deadlocked

Absolutely spot on! I'd like to see him stay, and play alongside the top quality striker Gus has wanted all season. BUT, only for a fair wage.

Murray offered substantial pay rise, deal still deadlocked

Why? Next year we will have other, better, players, so how we were without him this year makes no difference. For fucks sake - don't you think Gus knows what he is doing, and that Tony Bloom would back him with cash if he wanted to pay more to Murray?

Murray offered substantial pay rise, deal still deadlocked

I am sure we will pay "big bucks" to the right players. Obviously Murray has been offered as much as Gus thinks he is worth. I for one fully agree with that as a matter of principle. I hope that at some point we withdraw the offer if he buggers about for too long. We need to be building a team...

Murray offered substantial pay rise, deal still deadlocked

This, and more importantly, fails to take chances - before some "statto" shows his goals to shots ratio again.

Murray offered substantial pay rise, deal still deadlocked

This has nothing to do with our "£bracket". The Club have offered what they think he is worth. It clearly says "The League One title winners have offered the out of contract striker a substantial pay rise in a deal they feel fairly reflects the value of a player unproven at Championship level"...

Murray offered substantial pay rise, deal still deadlocked

It looks exactly like I was guessing it would. Oh well, I have every confidence that we will get a better player to replace him if the greedy bastard walks.
