One train left at 6:42 but we could not get on this one. Next one they said was due to leave at 6:51 but the timetable said 7:04. It left just after seven. Both these trains were standing room only. A train left after this as well.

I for one have tried other methods and not as good as the trains on almost every occasion. It would have been better for the Fulham game though and Forest last season.
West Coastway travellers very put out by the erratic service at the best of times. I can see fans not renewing their season tickets as this was the final straw after the Fulham debacle last season.

This was because the next train to Brighton was not for half an hour. Stockdales injury meant the game finished late and I did not meet the train. it left with standing space (not much).

Trains worked on Friday to Brighton. (if Stockdale had not got injured I would have been home in record time.). However, there was not enough trains to Brighton for the normal crowds.
So the same applies, public transport home West Coastway trains is problematical.
Timetable says no trains...
