It sounds the least promising of all the games this season. It feels like playing Wigan. We will have more possession but they are keen to play the long ball. And we have not got any near their goal.
Carlos Andrews getting into space. This gap has been the accusation of the 4-2-3-1 (or variants thereof). I am not sure if this criticism is valid or not?
On paper Ipswich look quite good up front:
13. David Stockdale
7. Carlos Edwards
31. Ibrahima Sonko
25. Danny Collins
3. Aaron Cresswell
15. Keith Andrews
6. Grant Leadbitter
21. Jimmy Bullard
8. Lee Bowyer
14. Jason Scotland
10. Michael Chopra
SUBS
12. Arran Lee-Barrett (GK)
5. Damien Delaney...
Only one change in the starting XI from the one I predicted/wanted. I had Sparrow in and Vicente omitted. Same narrow formation, but Sparrow is a box-to-box midfielder and Vicente is a specialist. But my subs choice was different.
It also explains the distaste of Arrigo Sacchi (AC Milan 90s)...

Less than 50% of penalties scored in the Premier League this season (according to Radio 5).
The way to take a penalty is to smash (i.e. kick) the ball hard into the top corner of the net.
