IMO the most effective way to remove the threat of violence from ISIS would be through other means; such as sanctions against the states that fund these jihadi organisations (not selling arms to Saudi Arabia for example) and ensuring that they cannot sell oil that they control on the black...
IMO a large reason for the existence of ISIS in the first place has been the bombing and military intervention in Iraq etc. over the past 10+ years which has fostered the environment for these scumbag jihadi groups to grow. More bombing will not solve the issues and would not make us any safer...
