Hudds to hand 'arry a lifeline?

Well neither of them are in relegation trouble nor are are they going to make the pay-offs, so.......

Hudds to hand 'arry a lifeline?

As I said earlier on in this thread, I do not think resting players in a cup match is comparable to doing it in a league match. If a team put out a weakened side for a cup match and lose, the only team to suffer are that team themselves. When we rested players against Lincoln, only we were the...

Hudds to hand 'arry a lifeline?

I'm tired. Leave me alone :lolol:

Hudds to hand 'arry a lifeline?

No, I suppose it doesn't. But I sort of interpreted "the result of Saturday's game will stand in all circumstances" to mean they will keep the three points no matter what.

Hudds to hand 'arry a lifeline?

Nope. The statement says "It should be noted, however, that the result of Saturday’s game will stand in all circumstances and any potential action would be taken against Huddersfield Town directly."

Hudds to hand 'arry a lifeline?

Lets turn the tables a little. Hypothetically lets say Brum were mid table safe and waiting for the season to finish, and fielded a massively changed/under-strength side and got spanked by Huddersfield, who by virtue of that win, overtook us in 2nd place with 1 game to go. Would those...

Hudds to hand 'arry a lifeline?

But ultimately the only losers in that scenario would be the Albion if we went on to lose said cup match Which being a league match has had a big impact on two other teams ability to stay up.

Hudds to hand 'arry a lifeline?

I'd quite enjoy the irony of seeing them get to the final only to be absolutely humiliated (again) by Fulham, the side they were trying to avoid.

Hudds to hand 'arry a lifeline?

It's not. But it is your responsibility to pick a side to try and win the game, not roll over and have your tummy tickled so you don't have to face Fulham in the play off semi.

Hudds to hand 'arry a lifeline?

Well said. Personally I think it stinks. I wonder if any Brighton fans defending Wagner are the same Brighton fans complaining how unfair it was that Wednesday rested players in the games leading up to the play-offs whilst we were going hell for leather last season?

Hudds to hand 'arry a lifeline?

Tell that to Forest and Blackburn fans. Huddersfield do not play a full strength side and manage to lose 2-0 to 10 man Birmingham. It's called integrity, and Wagner appears to have none.

Hudds to hand 'arry a lifeline?

Good. Dock them points! Chuck them out the play-offs! Here's the thing. If Huddersfield had won that match they would be 3rd, and Fulham are likely to finish 6th, so would most likely be playing each other in the play off semi. After an aggregate 9-1 drubbing in the league I'm sure Wagner...

Hudds to hand 'arry a lifeline?

Just mentioned on SSN, Huddersfield have made 10 changes to their starting line up today. Thought there were rules about this sort of thing?
