I don't even think that that would be necessary. It's not uncommon for a team to have to play with 10 men for a short time while a player receives treatment off the pitch; there's no unwritten rule to say that the team with 11 men can't score a goal in that time.
What's his complaint? Sounds like Yeovil immediately recognised their mistake and made amends.
