I don't even think that that would be necessary. It's not uncommon for a team to have to play with 10 men for a short time while a player receives treatment off the pitch; there's no unwritten rule to say that the team with 11 men can't score a goal in that time.

What's his complaint? Sounds like Yeovil immediately recognised their mistake and made amends. It doesn't seem to happen so much these days, but it always annoyed me that all play was expected to stop just because a player was down injured (and more often than not he was able to get straight...
