The money from selling Bridcutt at a good price (4-5m) could well fund another serious challenge for the premier league next year, if spent well. I don't care where that money comes from to be honest. In fact I quite like the thought of Palace funding our transfer fund for next year.

Good old Palace fans. Redefining the term plastic fan from meaning someone who watches the team on telly and maybe turns up for the occasional big game, to meaning someone who buys a season ticket and watches every home league game for 3 seasons and counting.

Let's not argue over semantics. I'm sure you realise that when I say 'we', you know I mean the management of the club that we support. Anyway, bids will obviously come in for Bridcutt, and he'll be sold to the highest bidder providing that it's a bid that we (Tony B and the board) can't turn...

Why would we agree to sell him for 3m?

We're not obliged and don't need to sell him. So I can't see him going for less than 5m - an amount that would make for a very interesting transfer window for us. You're right that there's no comparison with Zaha, but he went for 10m + add ons.

Stats more than back this up: We had 42 points from 28 games prior to Ulloa's arrival. In the final 18 games, with Ulloa, we accumulated 33 points. He would have been player of the season if he'd been here since last August, especially with a full pre-season under his belt.

Yes, I know how add-ons work. I'm not a thicko like you're demonstrating yourself to be. I will be happy for any premier team to buy Bridcutt for the right price. Losing him will weaken the team, but the potential 5m+ will be more than enough to make up for that. Should be enough to take us...

What argument? Are you trying to tell me add ons are paid up front? If that's the case we had better get on to Norwich, they owe us 40% of the Bennett fee + 2 years interest. I'll repeat myself; you're a thicky.

I did. Add-ons aren't a definite though, otherwise they wouldn't be add-ons. The clue is in the phrase, thicko.

Does anyone know what we got for Noone in the end? I seem to remember we turned down 1.5m before accepting a higher offer. This is for a player that, although popular with fans, wasn't a regular starter and 1 of 3 players in a similar position. Demonstrates that we're not desperate for the cash...

What palace may think is 'fair' has nothing to do with his value. Value is based on what the highest bidder is prepared to pay, and what the selling club is prepared to let him go for. There's likely to be a bidding war involving clubs with plenty of money to spend. Even if there wasn't, he...

I wouldn't worry too much. All the speculation is based on one mirror article suggesting that he's the sort of player that a newly promoted team, such as palace, should be having a look at. I'm sure palace would love to have him, but so would quite a few premiership teams. Add the fact the...

Good to see a few prem teams having a look; it should bump his price up a bit. He's a great player, but we could do a lot with the 4-5m that we should get for him.
